Applying for School Bus Passes and Replacements

Frequently asked questions about applying for school bus passes

When do I receive my pass for the new academic year?

Passes will be sent out week ending 26th August 2007.

My friend travels for free on the Bus, how do I apply for a ZeroFarePass?

Your Local Education Authority decides on your eligibility for free transport to and from school. Give them a call for more help.

I have a set of forms from the LEA for applying for a boarding card and a set of forms from Metro- which do I fill out?

If you qualify for free travel, only return your forms to the Education Authority/Metro for the Zero Fare pass. You DO NOT have to return the My bus forms.

Where do I go if I've misplaced mine?

Give our call centre a ring on 0113 348 1122 and we can arrange for new forms to be sent out to you.

I’ve lost my pass, how do I get a new one?

To make a new pass we will need a new passport photo with your name and school on the back, along with a covering note with your bus number and your address. There is no charge for Boarding Permits/Priority Passes, however there is a charge to replace a Zero Fare Boarding or School card. Send this along with a cheque or postal order for £5 (made payable to WYPTE) to the address in our ‘Contact Us’ page. Remember to include a stamped addressed envelope so we can get your new pass back to you more quickly.

NB My bus passes do NOT require a new photograph.
