Chelsea make massive bid for samba star Kaka
Chelsea have made a shock move for Brazilian star Kaka with the fee being described as 'astronomical' by the president of AC Milan. Kaka has played for the new chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari before when he was the coach of the Brazil team when they won the 2002 world cup in Japan. The bid is believed to be around 50 million pounds.
Real doubtful over Ronaldo move
The president of Real Madrid is no longer confident that they can reach a deal with Manchester United over the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portugese winger is said to need an ankle operation and the price tag may be too large. Roman Calderon said 'At this moment I believe Ronaldo will stay at Manchester United for another year'
Crouch poised to join Pompey in £10 million switch
Peter Crouch is set to follow in Harry Redknapps footsteps by playing at Pourtsmouth after being with Redknapp earlier in his career at Southampton. Liverpool are to allow Crouch to leave after scoring 40 goals for the reds. Pompey have confirmed that they have agreed a fee with Liverpool.

Carlos Queiroz has dropped a hint that he is to leave Manchester United and become the next Portugal manager. He was quoted as saying 'It is beetween the Portugese FA and Manchester United now.' Which seemed to suggest that he had decided to take the job in Portugal. It is expected that Queiroz leaving the club will damage United's hopes of keeping star man Ronaldo.
