Don't Overstep the Mark

Don’t Overstep the Mark is a teaching resource designed for KS 3 and 4 pupils, to encourage them to consider their actions when using public transport and the consequences they may have on their lives and the lives of others.

The DVD that supports the pack contains short films that outline the dangers of inappropriate behaviour on public transport. It features three scenarios acted out by local pupils and is supported by teaching materials in a booklet provided.

The resource also provides information to pupils in Years 11-13 on how to get about on public transport when they go onto further education or employment. It provides information on passes, timetables and ways to gather service information.

My bus explained

If your school is served by Metro's Mybus scheme, the DVD has a promotional chapter on how the scheme operates and how pupils may apply for the service. This chapter may be shown at parents' evenings for new intake or to pupils directly.
